“People are living increasingly close together, nature
and open spaces are giving way to an increasingly
cramped city. This is not necessarily worth living.”

(South German Newspaper)

How can we ensure that there are opportunities to bring more nature into large cities?
One solution for this would be urban gardening, but what is urban gardening anyways?

Urban gardening is not only a way to provide fresh food but also improve the air quality and the quality of life in general in a big city. It also strengthens the community. Through small green oases you can have a positive influence on the environment and lifestyle.

Community gardens promote cohesion by bringing people with the same interests together to garden and share experiences.

Urban gardening is also a way to provide fresh fruit and vegetables. Home-grown food often has much more flavor and is usually even healthier than store bought products, because home-grown vegetables/fruits contain no pesticides but more vitamins.

People who garden and grow their own vegetables are actively helping to protect the climate.

Urban gardening has established itself as a significant movement in urban areas, improving access to fresh food while promoting awareness of sustainable practices by creating community gardens and individual growing spaces.
